Yup, this is me all by myself, going up what I consider a very steep hill. Larry made me, twice.
We had to turn around at this point. We had already gotten stuck in snow on another trail.
This is where you get dropped off to float down to Mack's Inn.
Am I boating or 4-wheeling? Larry made it through, so I figured I could too. It was a little deep.
What's camping without a campfire?

Larry to the rescue
This poor bird made the unfortunate mistake of plowing into our window on Saturday. He left feathers all over and managed to knock himself out cold. Larry picked him up and has been taking care of him since then, giving him drinks of water and bird seed. The bird is getting better at flying with its hurt wing.

Bird feeders are for the birds?
I believe we are feeding the entire bird population of Menan. We have so many Golden Finches and an assortment of other birds. I need Jan's help identifying them.
But then we caught this not-so-sneaky thief trying to get his share.
I hate to admit this, but Larry hung a somewhat empty peanut butter jar out by this bird feeder after I took this picture. He claims he wants to see a messy squirrel.

Happy Mother's Day to all 4 of my beautiful daughters
Cake made by Melina--YUM
1st steps of my Mother's Day gift...thanks Kids!
Even though it was kind of cold, they were determined to get it put together.
And the grandkids were delighted with the end result! This will make Oma's house even more fun to come visit now. Katy's dad also gave me a slide for a wading pool that CeCe had outgrown. Can't wait for Miriam & Shay to come try it out with the rest of the kids!

Sleep-over
Jakey came home from work with Bumpa last night. He was a giggly little whirlwind of activity. Of course, two of his favorite things to do are play the piano & go swimming in the hot tub. This was taken at 7:30 this morning.
Just like his Daddy was, Jake is NOT camera shy. He would give me my camera and say "cheese". And his smile can definitely get cheesy.

Day off from school
This is what happens when there is no school. Sleep-over at Oma's! Lunch was peanut butter & jam sandwiches & chocolate milk & listening to stories on the Ipad. It was amazing to see how many times they listened to "There's a Monster At The End of This Book". We had lots of fun & we played lots of Wii. I am tired, probably because I watched "A Good Man" last night & it didn't end till 1:30 am.

Sledding with no hills
Everytime the four-wheeler starts up, Tucker wants on. He takes his toy everywhere with him.
The scenario above reminded everyone of Doug chasing the sled. Now it is Brigham chasing it. As you can see below he really did start out in the sled, but changed his mind & got out.
Happy kids. We missed Miriam & Shay being here. Doug & Mallena, too, of course! But we did get to talk to them on the phone.
