The weather was so nice Sunday!

week-end at Oma's

Saturday we made play doh. It kept us all occupied for quite a while. Jaz loved making clay babies with the gingerbread girl cutter. Brigham made an octopus and cats and other things. A little scary note--He cut off the cat's head, tail and legs. Then I had him put it back together, whew! He told me funny stories while we were playing. Did you know he had another sister before Jaz?

Happy Birthday Troy!

We celebrated Troy's birthday on Sunday. I made pizzas (yes, from scratch) and we had cake & ice-cream (store bought). It was nice to have everyone that could come be there for him. Birthdays are more special when you have loved ones around.

I am waiting to get my sd card & camera back so I can post some pageant pictures too. Hopefully Shane can retrieve the accidentally deleted ones! We had a great time. I had to have been the proudest mama there. Thankfully Rebecca was there to cheer with me because Shane was totally WAY too quiet.

One: I love American Idol--David Archuletta better win it!
Two: I also am hooked on the Twilight series. Go figure...vampires, really?
Three: I love overly toasted marshmellows and campfires.
Four: I've discovered that I like flying and visiting new places, especially when it involves seeing family!
Five: My idea of a relaxing afternoon is reading a good book out on the deck with the smell of lilacs on a slight breeze.
Six: I have a slight problem with wanting to take pictures of EVERYTHING & EVERYBODY around me.
Seven: I hate to go swimming. The whole water over my head thing is not appealing to me...I sink.

I am sitting here thinking how boring my life would be without family. I love to read my kids' blogs and see what is going on in their lives. I would LOVE to see Miriam's ballet recital! I chuckle at Mallena's, Melina's & Rebecca's sense of humor in everyday life situations. I am so excited to see Melina compete. It is amazing to see how fast Courtney is growing up & all the things Rebecca is learning to do (sewing, wow!) I would love to see Devin & Katy set up a blog. Grandkids are SOOO fun and of course I have the cutest, smartest, sweetest ones on the planet!

I have started walking to & from school now that the weather is getting warmer. This morning I went to take the garbage out & poor Tucker got his hopes up and was halfway down the block before I could get him to come back home. So I took him for a walk when I got home from school. Dad is so very ready to go camping somewhere, anywhere, anytime! In May, 7 of 8 siblings will get together at the cabin. I am so ready to go!!
