It was so much fun getting almost everyone together for one last camp-out! My son, the fly fisherman. And, yes, he did catch a fish & Tucker enjoyed it immensely.

Our campsite. Shane & Melina reserved the whole group campsite so we had it to ourselves. Kids & dogs could run free.

This was what we pulled up to Fall Creek. Over 60 feet of pure fun.

Keeping busy

Miriam set up her own restaurant and Shay is her first customer. Larry has been working on his new workshop for weeks and it is almost finished.

Happy Birthday, Melina!!

Surprise!! We sent Melina out for ice as soon as we got there. Lucky for us, she didn't ask why we didn't just get ice from our fridge. Then we hurried to get a few decorations up & the cake & presents set out. She got back a little too quick & Mallena had to keep her out for a minute. Birthday Girl!

The bathroom was too big to fit in one picture. The shower was incredible. Our own kitchen (washer & dryer were in a nearby closet)
The living room. We had a nice sized balcony. The couch is a hide-a-bed. Melina & I came around from different corners & caught each other.

Off to the Foot Races!

Miriam ran as fast as she could and actually won some money (5 cents)!
Brigham ran as fast as he could too & won some candy!

Shay really put her all into it. She & Jaz raced in the same race, so I didn't get a good shot of Jaz crossing the finish line, but they both did!

Jaz is needing a little coaxing into racing, but Shay is already on her way.

Jake thought the whole thing was really unnecessary and pointless.

Jake's First Birthday

Jacob had a great first birthday party! He was so cute (as always) & patient as he had help unwrapping presents. He would get interested in his new present & it would be taken away & a new gift was placed in front of him to open. Of course my sd card & computer are still at odds with each other so the only pictures I can post are the ones Melina e-mailed me. thanks, Ameener!,

Update?

So, here's the story... My SD card was wearing out (who knew they did that?) so I bought another one with twice the space on it. I'm all happy taking pictures blah, blah, blah. I go to post & tadaa!!--nothing. My computer doesn't believe me when I try to tell it there really is a SD card in the slot. So I can't upload anything new. That is why there are no pictures of my wonderfully growing garden, vacations pictures to new, exciting places or the skinny new me. Okay, okay....so none of that last sentence is true, but I can dream, right?

Hike the Butte

Melina & I hiked the butte this morning. We were going to go up & around & down in 45 minutes. Yeah, right. We went up to the top and along the trail for a short ways and decided it was too windy. So we turned around & headed back down. The dogs had more energy than we did! But I am sure glad we did it.

Boise Getaway

We had a lot of fun shopping, snacking, driving around, eating, watching the Mrs. Idaho Pageant-where Melina was asked to stand as a former title holder (Mrs. Bonneville County). Mallena brought along enough snacks & goodies to last us a week. Yummy!!

Give me a hint

It was so fun watching everyone hunt for their own stuff and then helping out others who hadn't yet found theirs. Okay, so there was some teasing & good-natured accusations.
